The Air Passenger Rights report 2015, titled ‘Do consumers get the compensation they are entitled to and at what costs?’, has been launched by ECC-Net.
The report examines the difficulties still being faced by consumers when attempting to claim compensation in the event of a flight delay or cancellation. It found that lack of awareness about air passenger rights, as well as problems with compliance by airlines and effective enforcement, has led to some consumers turning to private complaint management companies to pursue claims for compensation.
