That’s the stark news today from the European Consumer Centre office in Dublin. It says under the law, anybody who had a flight cancelled is entitled to a refund.
Dr. Cyril Sullivan of ECC Ireland says even British airlines are still obliged to pay refunds under EU law:
“The regulations are still being applied within the UK so the rules and regulations still apply. So therefore, the law hasn’t changed the requirements the timeliness of refunds or the requirement to make a refund if it’s to do with a UK airline.”
